Huawei has announced a launch event scheduled for 19 September 2024, in Barcelona, Spain. The teasers, featuring two smartwatches, suggest that this event will officially introduce the Watch GT 5 series.
The Watch GT 5 is anticipated to debut with the recently introduced Huawei TruSense, a health monitoring system designed to deliver more precise health data measurements.
The company said the system measures more than 60 health and fitness indicators, covering six of the body’s major systems, and also includes an emotional wellbeing component.
Rumors suggest that the Watch GT 5 series will come in 41mm and 46mm size variants, with a Pro model also available, unlike the Watch GT 4. The device is expected to have an IP68 rating, withstanding depths of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
It will reportedly support an 18W power adapter for charging. The standout feature of this wearable is said to be the TruSense technology, which is purported to deliver heart rate and blood pressure measurements with 98% accuracy.

Additionally, the device includes a wireless charging panel on the back and is equipped with thick straps to ensure a secure grip.
