If you pre-order, you can get some free gifts including Huawei FreeBuds 6i and a three-month subscription to Huawei Health+.

Huawei has just officially dropped its latest wearable offering in Malaysia: the Watch GT 6 Series. The line-up includes the standard GT 6 and the posher GT 6 Pro, both packing some rather clever new tech under the hood.

Let’s talk battery first. Thanks to a next-gen stacked battery design, you’re looking at a whopping 21 days of use on the Pro and the 46 mm model, while the smaller 41 mm version still manages a very respectable 14 days. And you won’t be squinting at it in the midday sun either, as the AMOLED display can blaze away at up to 3,000 nits. Getting around is also smarter, with an upgraded Sunflower Positioning System that promises a 20% boost in location accuracy.

For the fitness-minded, the GT 6 Series introduces a Running Form Analysis feature. It gives you proper coaching on things like your ground contact time and vertical oscillation, which is genuinely useful for tweaking your technique and avoiding niggling injuries.

Now, on to the looks. The GT 6 Pro is the real showpiece, built from tough materials like sapphire glass, aviation-grade titanium, and nanocrystal ceramic. The standard GT 6 is no slouch either, with the 46 mm model coming in green, grey, and black, and the 41 mm version offering purple, white, and brown straps. These smaller models also feature clever loop lugs for a comfier fit on the wrist.

But it’s not just about style. The GT 6 Series is the first smartwatch to feature cycling virtual power, a bit of kit developed using proper wind tunnel simulations to give you near power meter-level accuracy. There are some handy safety features too, like fall detection and SOS alerts, plus an upgraded Altitude Monitoring 2.0 for your trekking adventures.

The Pro edition takes it a step further with dedicated trail running insights, maps for over 17,000 golf courses, and it’s even EN13319 certified for freediving down to 40 metres.

On the health front, Huawei’s TruSense system is behind some advanced monitoring, including emotional wellbeing detection and professional-grade cardiovascular tracking. The Pro model also throws in an ECG function for good measure.

And for us here in Malaysia, there are some nicely localised touches. You get Touch ‘n Go eWallet support right on your wrist, integration with the Waktu Solat Malaysia app, and MyBorderPass support to make immigration clearance a bit less of a faff.
