The upcoming iPhone launch is imminent, and as Apple gears up for one of its most significant events of the year, the internet is teeming with leaks and rumours.
This year, Apple appears to be launching not only the iPhone 16 but also the iPhone SE, as suggested by purportedly leaked marketing materials shared on Weibo.
iPhone SE
The new iPhone SE is set to feature a 6.1-inch screen, similar to the iPhone 14, but with a smaller notch at the top. This model is also expected to include Face ID, a significant upgrade for the SE line which is still using Touch ID.
This phone will be powered by the A18 Bionic chip, which is also going to debut in the iPhone 16 series.
A leaked poster suggests a price of CNY4,199 (~RM2,577), though this price is not yet confirmed. While the front design appears to mirror the iPhone 14, the back of the phone remains a mystery. It might retain the single camera setup typical of previous SE models.
The last time Apple released an iPhone SE was in March 2022 and it was a third-generation model.
iPhone 16 Pro
The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to introduce a new dedicated camera button on the lower part of the right bezel, enhancing the photography experience. The back design is likely to remain consistent with last year’s camera module layout.
This model will be powered by the A18 Pro chip and will feature an upgraded 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
This camera will incorporate ultra-thin prism reflection technology, allowing more light to reach the sensor, significantly improving photo quality. The neural network engine on the A18 Pro chipset will support this advanced technology.
Colour options for the iPhone 16 Pro are expected to include Black, White, Blue, and Yellow, with the previously speculated Bronze variant likely reserved for the Pro Max model.
The iPhone 16 series is anticipated to be released next month, while the launch date for the iPhone SE remains unclear.
