The iPhone 17 series is just around the corner, launching in less than a month, and we’ve got some fresh details on the display sizes for the upcoming models.
The standard iPhone 17 is rumoured to bump up to a 6.3-inch screen, putting it at the same size as the iPhone 17 Pro. In fact, leaked screen protectors suggest the two models might share identical dimensions.
As for the iPhone 17 Air, it’s expected to land with a 6.6-inch display – slightly smaller than the 6.7-inch iPhone 16 Plus it’s replacing. This makes it a nice middle ground between the base iPhone 17/Pro and the larger Pro Max model.
Both the Air and the standard iPhone 17 might finally get 120Hz screens, though they likely won’t have full ProMotion support. That means no LTPO tech for variable refresh rates and no Always-On Display functionality, which will remain a Pro-exclusive feature.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is sticking with its 6.9-inch display, matching last year’s model – so no surprises there.
With the designs and screen sizes pretty much locked in, the only big question left is what kind of hardware upgrades we can expect under the hood. More details on that should surface soon!
