Leaked iPhone 17 Dummies Showcase Design Changes; Air Model Steals The Spotlight

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will feature a significantly larger camera island on the rear compared to their predecessors.

The iPhone 17 Series launch is still at least six months away, but we don’t have to wait until the official release to get a glimpse of what Apple has in store.

Thanks to Sonny Dickson, who shared a set of iPhone 17 dummy models on X (formerly Twitter), we now have our first look at the upcoming lineup.

While these dummy units don’t reveal any groundbreaking design changes, they do confirm a few interesting details. Notably, all iPhone 17 models, including the iPhone 17 Air, will support MagSafe.

The Air is set to be remarkably thin, while the iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to be noticeably thicker. The standard iPhone 17, on the other hand, appears to maintain a similar size to its predecessor.

The Air is rumoured to measure just 5.5mm in thickness, making it one of the slimmest iPhones ever. It will feature a single rear camera, similar to the iPhone 16e.

Additionally, the Air is expected to sport a 6.6-inch display, placing it between the 6.3-inch iPhone 16 Pro and the 6.9-inch iPhone 16 Pro Max, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

Gurman also suggests that the Air will combine high-end features, such as a 120Hz ProMotion display, with more modest components, like the standard Apple A19 chip instead of the A19 Pro. Despite its ultra-thin design, the device is said to deliver battery life comparable to other iPhones in the lineup.
