In the Google Pixel 9 series lineup, besides the smartphones, the internet search engine giant also launched a new foldable, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
You may be curious about the absence of news concerning the foldable’s launch here. The company explained that Malaysia was not part of the initial target market when the device went into production, resulting in an insufficient allocation for the region, according to Lowyat.net.
This is disappointing news for fans hoping to see the launch of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold here, but the company stated that they will launch the Pixel 10 Pro Fold next year in Malaysia instead.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold boasts a Tensor G4 chipset, complemented by 16GB of RAM and a maximum of 512GB of storage. It sports a 6.3-inch external display and an 8-inch screen when unfolded.
This device features a triple camera array, including a 48MP main sensor, a 10.5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Both the external and internal displays are equipped with a 10MP front-facing camera.
For power, it houses a 4,650mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging via USB-C and wireless charging with Qi-compatible devices. Additionally, the phone runs on Android 14 and offers WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC for connectivity.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold has a starting price of USD1,799 (~RM7,976) for the 256GB model, and it’s expected to be available for sale in the US, Japan, and Europe in September of this year.
