The Malaysian government wants to make MyDigital ID accessible across all government platforms with a single sign-on feature to streamline the digitalisation of government services, according to Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo.
He announced that the government plans to introduce initiatives in the first quarter of 2025 to enhance public confidence in the MyDigital ID application, according to Malay Mail.
“Moving forward, we hope that all services provided by ministries can be combined under one platform through a single sign-on,” he said.
This single sign-on system will allow users to access multiple services using just one account.
Gobind highlighted that MyDigital ID’s development will continue as technology advances, and that past challenges can be addressed with new technological innovations.
Since its launch in November last year, MyDigital ID has been integrated with several government apps, including MySejahtera, the MyGov portal, and the Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS) Mobile as of 2 October 2024.
