MyJPJ App Users Can Skip MyDigital ID Login, Transport Minister Announces

Anthony Loke has stated that he ordered the immediate removal of the pop-up as the ministry has not yet made a decision on the matter.

Users of the MyJPJ app can continue to access the app without logging in using their MyDigital ID account, even after the previously announced 10 October deadline, according to Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

During a press conference held at the Ministry of Transport, Loke clarified that the pop-up notice requiring users to have a MyDigital ID account was not an official announcement. “I have ordered for the pop-up to be removed immediately as there has been no decision on it yet by the ministry,” he stated, according to The Star.

Following a post-Cabinet meeting, Loke met with MyDigital ID personnel to discuss the integration efforts between MyDigital ID and MyJPJ. He emphasized that the integration must be seamless and convenient for users.

“We support integration efforts between MyDigital ID and MyJPJ but it has to be done seamlessly,” he said. Consequently, the 10 October deadline has been cancelled.

Loke acknowledged the concerns raised by netizens regarding the matter and assured that the backend integration between both apps would be done in stages.

“There is no need to worry. You can still use the MyJPJ application after Oct 10. I have instructed JPJ to allow the public to continue using the application as usual,” he added, noting that the app has over 1.5 million active users.
