Nothing Expands Audio Lineup With Affordable Headphone (a)

This headphone sports a similar design and uses the same set of controls as the flagship Headphone (1).

Along with the new Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro, Nothing has finally branched out into budget-friendly over-ears with the Headphone (a). This is intended to be a more affordable version of last year’s Headphone (1).

These headphones are rocking Hi-Resolution Audio Wireless certification and LDAC support, which are pretty important for the audiophiles out there. Under the hood, you will find 40mm titanium-coated drivers and ANC support with three active noise cancellation presets and a three-mic system for voice calls.

If you want to customise your listening experience, the Nothing X app includes an eight-band equaliser and a real-time Bass Enhancement algorithm to add a bit of extra punch to your tracks.

Nothing has decided to stick with the tactile controls found on last year’s flagship Headphone (1). You still get the Roller, Paddle, and Button. This setup makes it much easier to adjust your volume or skip tracks without any fuss. The Button is quite versatile too, acting as a remote trigger for your camera or letting you jump between apps using the Channel Hop feature, so you rarely need to pull your phone out of your pocket.

You can grab these in pink, yellow, white, or black, and they weigh 310g and come with comfy memory foam cushions, plus an IP52 rating to protect against sweat and dust. The most impressive stat has to be the battery life, though. Nothing claims they will last for a staggering 135 hours on a single charge. If you are in a rush, a tiny five-minute charge is enough to get you through five hours of tunes.

Pricing and Availability

For those of us in Malaysia, there is still a bit of a wait ahead. Pricing and local availability details are being kept under wraps until 1 April 2026, which is the same day we will get the full lowdown on the new Phone (4a) series.
