Nothing launched the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro back in March 2025 and they are already expanding the lineup with a new, more affordable model. Meet the Phone (3a) Lite, a budget-conscious handset that aims to bring a slice of that signature Nothing style to a lower price point.
You get a sizeable 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The screen is rated for 800 nits of typical brightness, with the ability to punch up to a very impressive 3,000 nits for HDR content. It’s protected by Panda Glass and houses both an optical fingerprint scanner and a 16MP selfie camera.

Under the hood, MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset is running the show, paired with 8GB of RAM. For storage, you can choose up to 256GB, and if that’s not enough, there’s a microSD card slot for expansion.
On the camera front, the (3a) Lite sports a triple-camera array on the back. The main event is a 50MP sensor with optical image stabilisation, joined by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro camera for close-up shots. The phone runs on Nothing OS 3.5, based on the latest Android 15, and the company is promising three major Android updates and six years of security patches. Keeping it all powered is a 5,000mAh battery, which you can top up at 33W.

Crucially, the (3a) Lite hasn’t completely abandoned the brand’s core aesthetic. It still sports the distinctive transparent glass back. This time, however, the Glyph Interface has been simplified to a single light, which will still pulse to alert you to notifications.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite will be available in classic Black and White colourways. At the moment, Nothing’s Malaysia website simply lists the phone as “coming soon,” so we’ll have to wait a little longer for pricing and a firm release date.
