Samsung Malaysia and Maybank have officially joined forces in a new strategic partnership, bringing Samsung Wallet QR Payments to customers of Samsung and the bank.
Launched on 21 July 2026, the collaboration allows users to seamlessly trigger Maybank MAE Scan and Pay features directly through their native Samsung Wallet interface. Beyond domestic transactions, Samsung has highlighted that this cross-border integration enables convenient payments across neighbouring regional destinations, including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Cambodia.
For eligible Samsung Galaxy users, accessing the feature is remarkably straightforward. Users can initiate the QR payment system straight from Samsung Wallet, which then securely bridges to the MAE app to process the transaction.
Alongside standard Samsung point accumulation for every tap, Samsung Malaysia is running an attractive launch promotion with up to RM500,000 in total rewards scheduled between 28 July 2026 and 20 October 2026.
Under the terms of the campaign, qualifying users receive RM5 simply for linking and activating the QR Payment system in their wallet, followed by an additional RM15 in cashback or promotional vouchers once they begin making daily purchases.
