Samsung has just dropped two new mid-range phones in Malaysia, the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G. Both phones are rocking Samsung’s own Exynos chips and arrive with Android 16 and One UI 8.5 straight out of the box. Samsung also promise six years of both OS upgrades and security patches.
Galaxy A57 5G
The Galaxy A57 is the sleeker of the two, sporting a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and much thinner bezels than before. It is surprisingly thin at just 6.9mm but still manages to carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Underneath, there is an Exynos 1680 chipset with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. To keep things from getting too toasty during heavy tasks, Samsung has included a vapour chamber that is 13% larger than previous models. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging and covers all the modern connectivity bases like 5G and Bluetooth 6.0.
For the photographers, the A57 features a triple-lens setup on the back, led by a 50MP main sensor along with 12MP ultrawide and 5MP macro lenses. There is also a 12MP selfie camera tucked into the front. You can pick it up in Awesome Navy, Awesome Gray, or Awesome IcyBlue.
Galaxy A37 5G
If you are looking for something a bit more budget-friendly, the Galaxy A37 offers a similar 6.7-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED screen and the same IP68 durability.
It runs on the Exynos 1480 chip and comes with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Like its sibling, it features a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging.

The camera specs are slightly dialled back with an 8MP ultrawide, accompanying the 50MP main sensor plus the 5MP macro camera, and it comes in a different palette of colours: Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, and Awesome Graygreen.
Pricing and Availability
Pricing for the Galaxy A37 starts at RM1,899, while the Galaxy A57 begins at RM2,399. However, if you are quick, there are some decent launch rebates running until the end of the year that knock the entry prices down to RM1,799 and RM2,249 respectively.
There is even an extra RM200 discount available until 29 April if you pay with Maybank or CIMB cards or Shopee PayLater.
