Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Officially Unveiled: Slim Design & Snapdragon 8 Elite

However, the phone is only packing a small 3,900mAh battery.

After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung has finally revealed its slimmest Galaxy phone yet—the S25 Edge.

Coming in at just 5.8mm thin and weighing only 163g, the phone is impressively sleek. However, achieving such a slim design meant making some compromises, particularly with the battery. The S25 Edge packs a modest 3,900mAh battery, which might raise some eyebrows given today’s standards.

When it comes to charging, the phone supports wired speeds of up to 25W, with Samsung claiming you can hit around 55% in roughly 30 minutes—but only if you use their adapter, which isn’t included in the box. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are also available for those who prefer it.

The S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO display with QHD+ resolution and a smooth 1-120Hz variable refresh rate. It’s protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, adding some durability to that ultra-thin frame.

Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options of either 256GB or 512GB.

For photography, the phone boasts a 200MP main camera with an f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS), along with Samsung’s claim of “2x optical quality zoom.” There’s also a 12MP ultrawide lens with autofocus for macro shots, and a 12MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The S25 Edge ships with Android 15 and Samsung’s One UI 7, and it’s IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. The frame is made out of titanium alloy and it comes in three colours: Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue.

Priced starting at USD1,099 (~RM4,722), the S25 Edge is available in major markets like the US, Australia, China, and South Korea—but unfortunately, it won’t be hitting shelves in Malaysia.
