Samsung Galaxy S27 Series Cases Leak Hint At Big Design Shake-Up For The Pro And Ultra Models

Samsung is expected to launch four new flagship phones early next year instead of the usual three.

New leaks showing off phone cases for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 series have popped up, dropping more hints that at least two of the new models are getting a total design overhaul.

According to the latest rumours, the standard Galaxy S27 and S27+ will hang onto the familiar pill-shaped camera island. Meanwhile, the higher-end Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra look set to adopt a chunkier rectangular camera island that feels similar to the look Apple went with on the iPhone 17 Pro.

Word is that Samsung is aiming for a January reveal, but production hiccups could easily push the big event back into February. The main roadblocks right now appear to be shortages of fast LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 flash storage, both of which are becoming difficult to source and increasingly expensive due to the ongoing crisis in RAM and storage shortages driven by demand from the AI industry.
