After plenty of leaks and rumours, Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Z Fold 7 globally.
The new model comes with a slimmer design, measuring just 8.9mm when folded and 4.2mm when unfolded.

At 215g, it’s also the lightest Galaxy Z Fold yet. While the rear camera bump is more noticeable, the overall look and layout stay familiar.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has slightly bigger screens compared to its predecessor—a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO cover display and an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO main screen, both hitting up to 2,600 nits peak brightness.

Samsung has reinforced the main screen with a titanium plate layer and 50% thicker Ultra-Thin Glass for better durability.

There’s also a new Armor FlexHinge with a water droplet design that reduces creases while making the hinge stronger. The cover screen now uses Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, and the frame and hinge are built with tougher Armor Aluminium (no Titanium here). It keeps the same IP48 water and dust resistance as before.
Inside, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip and it comes with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The battery is a dual-cell 4,400mAh setup, supporting 25W wired charging and wireless charging. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC, along with stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Unfortunately, there’s no S-Pen support.
For cameras, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 debuts a 200MP main sensor, which Samsung claims delivers 44% brighter images.

It’s paired with a 10MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto lens. On the front, there’s a 10MP selfie camera on the cover screen and another 10MP punch-hole camera on the inner display—Samsung has dropped the under-display camera this time around. The phone runs One UI 8 based on Android 16, packed with Samsung’s latest Galaxy AI features.
