Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Design Leak: Thinner, Lighter, And Wider Than Ever

This is an entirely new form factor in the Galaxy Z Fold family.

Samsung is hosting its Galaxy Unpacked event on 22 July, where the Korean tech giant is expected to showcase its latest foldable phones.

However, thanks to Android Headlines, we do not have to wait until the event to see what Samsung has in store for us. The company is launching a new foldable with a new form factor dubbed the Galaxy Z Fold 8. This model is shorter and wider than previous Galaxy Z Fold iterations.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be available in three standard colours alongside a Samsung website exclusive option. Customers can expect Cream, Graphite, and Lavender, whilst the exclusive colour will be Pistachio.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch QHD+ cover display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The primary inner display will be a 7.6-inch QHD+ panel featuring a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Weighing in at around 200g, it is even lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Additionally, it is anticipated to measure just 4.5mm thick when unfolded, and 9.7mm when folded shut.

Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, matching the processor found in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This will be paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of base storage, with options to upgrade to 512GB or 1TB.

It has a 4,800mAh battery and charging speeds are nevertheless expected to remain on the slower side, likely maxing out at 25W.
