Sony looks set to launch a brand new pair of flagship wireless headphones under the name The ColleXion. While the company is keeping quiet for now, the usual leak cycle is already in full swing, giving us a pretty decent idea of what to expect.
One of the most notable changes is a fresh hinge design that marks a departure from what we saw with the WH-1000XM6 as shown below.

Judging by the leaked renders from Android Headlines and real-life shots, it appears Sony is sticking to a minimalist palette with black and white colour options. The overall shape definitely takes some cues from the WH-1000XM6 but there is a premium twist here.

Instead of the familiar matte plastic, these cans seem to be wrapped in leather or a vegan alternative, giving them a much more high-end feel.
However, that luxury finish comes with a price tag to match. Rumours are swirling that these will retail for about USD649 (~RM2,550), which is a significant jump over the WH-1000XM6 which retails for RM2,099 here.
It seems Sony is positioning The ColleXion as a proper top-tier offering for those who do not mind paying a bit extra for a more refined build.
