Sony dropped its flagship wireless headphones, the WH-1000XM5, back in May 2022, and now it looks like they’re gearing up to release its successor.
Thanks to a leak from Amazon Spain via Notebookcheck.net, we’ve got some early details on the specs of the upcoming WH-1000XM6. Unfortunately, the listing didn’t include any photos, so we’ll have to wait to see the actual design.

According to the listing, the WH-1000XM6 will pack some notable upgrades, including a new QN3 processor and extra microphones for better active noise cancellation (ANC) and transparency modes. There’s also talk of a new magnetic case, a 10-band equaliser, and a 360-degree upmix feature for cinema content to enhance surround sound.

Plus, Sony seems to be bringing back its older foldable design like the WH-1000XM4, which should make these headphones more portable.

On the audio front, the WH-1000XM6 is expected to stick with 30mm drivers and offer up to 30 hours of battery life, keeping things solid in terms of performance and endurance.
