Starlink, the satellite-based broadband service that’s been available in Malaysia since July 2023, has rolled out a new, more budget-friendly option called the Residential Lite plan.
The new Lite plan costs RM129 per month, which is a big drop from the standard plan’s RM220 monthly fee.

This plan offers slower download and upload speeds compared to the standard Residential package but comes at a much lower price point.
According to Starlink’s support page, users on the Lite plan can expect download speeds between 45Mbps and 130Mbps (100Mbps to 270+ Mbps for the RM220 plan), with upload speeds ranging from 10Mbps to 20Mbps. Even though the speeds are lower and cheaper, the plan still offers no data or speed limits.
To use the service, customers still need to buy the Starlink Standard V4 hardware kit, just like with the standard plan.

The kit is available for RM1,600 on Starlink’s official website and it comes with a WiFi 6 router as well.
