Apple has kicked things off with the big one: iOS 26 is now making its way out to users. This isn’t your average yearly refresh; it’s being talked about as their most significant update in a good while. We’re talking a seriously refined look, some clever new AI tricks, and a whole host of tweaks.
The headliner is a completely new design language Apple is calling ‘Liquid Glass’. They reckon it brings a more expressive feel to pretty much everything you touch – from your lock screen and home screen right down to the buttons, sliders, and menus inside your apps. It’s one of those visual overhauls that you’ll probably notice straight away.

On the intelligence front, Apple is going all-in with “Apple Intelligence”. This powers a bunch of new stuff, like getting live translations in your messages or having captions pop up during a FaceTime call. The big news is Siri’s new integration with ChatGPT, which should make it far more useful.
There’s also a nifty feature for managing your inbox. Messages from unknown senders will now be filtered into a separate list, where you can choose to approve the number, ask for more info, or just bin it. It’s a simple but welcome boost for your privacy.
