This Is The Alleged Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition

This variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is slimmer and features some upgraded hardware.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in July 2024, typically releasing only two foldable phones each year. However, it seems the company is planning an additional model.

According to Android Headlines, Samsung is releasing another foldable called “Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition”, which is a slimmer variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It might also be known as “Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim” or “Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra”.

Overall, the Z Fold Special Edition (SE) resembles the standard Z Fold 6, yet the camera island has been altered slightly and protrudes significantly more, a result of the device’s slimmer build.

The Z Fold SE will be 10.6 mm thick when folded, and 4.9 mm thick when unfolded. For comparison, the Z Fold 6 is 12.1 mm thick when folded, and 5.6 mm thick when unfolded.

Moreover, the phone boasts a 200MP primary rear camera (50MP on the Z Fold 6), an 8-inch main display—up from the 7.6-inch screen on the Z Fold 6—and a 6.5-inch cover display, which is larger than the Z Fold 6’s 6.3-inch panel.

It’s reported that Samsung plans to launch the Z Fold 6 SE exclusively in South Korea and China. However, it’s yet to be confirmed if this is accurate.
