This Nintendo Switch 2 Renders Could Be The Real Thing

The next-gen Switch has a bigger 8.4-inch display compared to the Switch OLED, which has a 7-inch screen.

Nintendo is set to reveal the successor to the Switch soon. If you’re eager to get a glimpse of the Switch 2’s potential design, you’re in luck.

Renowned and reliable leaker OnLeaks has provided renders of the Nintendo Switch 2 to 91mobiles, showcasing its design and dimensions.

The new console reportedly features a larger 8.4-inch display. While the specific panel type wasn’t confirmed, it’s likely to be an IPS panel, with an OLED version expected to launch later, similar to the Switch OLED.

The dimensions of the Switch 2 with Joy-Cons are 271 mm x 116.4 mm x 31.4 mm, while the Joy-Cons themselves measure 116.4 mm x 40.8 mm x 31.4 mm.

The renders reveal several features on the top of the Switch 2, including a power button, a volume rocker, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a game card slot, and a USB-C port.

The renders also reveal a mysterious new second button on the right Joy-Con. In addition, there appears to be a sensor of some kind, which could potentially function as an ambient light sensor or serve another purpose.

At the back, the console includes a ‘U’-shaped kickstand designed for tabletop mode. This kickstand appears to be a big improvement over the one found on the original Switch and Switch OLED.

Last year, Nintendo confirmed that the Switch 2 would be backward compatible with Switch titles, leading to the assumption that it will support Switch game cartridges.
