Vivo X200 Ultra: First Look At the 200MP Periscope Camera & Triple-Lens Setup

The X200 Ultra's periscope camera captures 38% more light than its predecessor, thanks to a larger aperture, advanced lens and prism technology, and a special lens coating.

The Vivo X200 Ultra is the brand’s upcoming flagship, and it’s set to launch in China next month. Thanks to Vivo’s product manager, Han Boxiao, we’ve got our first look at its triple-camera setup.

The standout feature is the custom Samsung ISOCELL HP9 200MP periscope camera, which takes up a big chunk of the phone’s top half. It’s confirmed to have an 85mm focal range and a larger aperture, letting in 38% more light than its predecessor. Plus, it’s packed with new lens and prism tech, along with a special coating for better performance.

The phone also sports a 50MP main camera and a 14mm ultrawide lens, both using Sony LYT-818 sensors. The ultrawide sensor is rumoured to be 1/1.28″, which is bigger than most ultrawide cameras out there.

Unfortunately, like its predecessor, the X200 Ultra likely won’t get a global release. But if you’re really keen, you can always grab it through an importer or reseller.
