Vivo just dropped its newest photography beast, the X200 Ultra, in China.
Under the hood, it’s rocking the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with either 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM. For storage, you get UFS 4.1 with options for 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.
Up front, there’s a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, a crazy-bright 4,500 nits peak brightness, and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
The camera setup is where things get wild. There’s a triple-lens system:
- A 50MP main shooter with a Sony LYT-818 sensor (1/1.28”, f/1.7)
- A 200MP telephoto lens with a Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor (1/1.4”, 85mm equivalent)
- Another 50MP Sony LYT-818 for ultra-wide shots

All three cameras can shoot 4K video at 120fps for slow-motion clips, and 4K at 60fps gets Dolby Vision for super-accurate colors. Even the selfie cam is no slouch at 50MP.
Vivo packed in two dedicated camera chips: the V3+ for image processing (like noise reduction and sharpening) and a brand-new VS1 chip that handles exposure, focus, and image stacking before passing things off to the V3+.

There’s also a physical “V key” on the side—right where your finger naturally rests—that works like a camera shutter button.

Keeping everything running is a big 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.
You can grab the X200 Ultra in Black or Red, plus a special White edition that looks like a Rimowa suitcase.

Also, there’s an optional Photography Set that includes a teleconverter lens (adding 2.35x zoom for a total 200mm equivalent), extra lenses, straps, a grip case with USB-C, and even a separate 2,300mAh battery.

Prices start at CNY6,499 (~RM3,902) for the 12GB/256GB model, with a top-tier 16GB/1TB version (which also supports satellite comms) going for CNY7,999 (~RM4,803). This phone is unlikely to be released outside of China, just like the previous X100 Ultra.
