WhatsApp Finally Launches On iPad – Here’s What You Can Do

WhatsApp also works with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.

After what feels like forever, WhatsApp is finally on iPad—one of the most requested apps for Apple’s tablet.

The new app lets you do video and audio calls with up to 32 people, share your screen, and switch between the front and back cameras. Before this, iPad users had to rely on the browser version, which wasn’t the same experience.

WhatsApp says the app takes full advantage of iPadOS features like Stage Manager, Split View, and Slide Over. That means you can multitask way easier—like checking messages while browsing the web, or planning a group trip while staying on a call.

On your phone, you’d have to keep jumping in and out of the app to do stuff like that. It works with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil too.

Everything stays synced across your iPhone, Mac, and other devices, so you won’t miss a beat. And don’t worry—your messages, calls, and media are still end-to-end encrypted.

You can download WhatsApp for iPad from the App Store today.
