WhatsApp is ringing in the new year with a host of new features and design updates aimed at enhancing user experience and making communication more dynamic and engaging. Here’s a breakdown of what’s new:
Camera Effects Expanded
The popular camera effects introduced last year for video calls are now available for images too. This means you can now use the same 30 backgrounds, filters, and effects to add a creative touch to your photos, making them more vibrant and fun.
Turn Selfies into Stickers
A game-changing feature is the ability to transform your selfies into stickers. Creating your own personalized sticker is simple: just tap Create Sticker, and you’ll have the option to take a selfie on the spot and instantly convert it into a sticker.
This feature is currently rolling out to Android users and will be available on iOS devices soon.
Share Sticker Packs
WhatsApp now allows users to share entire sticker packs directly through the app. This makes it easier than ever to share your favourite sticker collections with friends and family, adding a new layer of personalisation to your chats.
Double-Tap Reactions
Reactions just got quicker and more convenient. With the new double-tap feature, you can react to a message instantly by simply double-tapping it.
Additionally, you can quickly scroll through your most-used reactions, making it easier to express yourself in a flash.
