First announced during Computex 2024, Zotac is finally ready to launch its first handheld gaming console, Gaming Zone, to challenge Steam Deck, ASUS Rog Ally X, Lenovo Legion Go, and many others similar to it.
The Zotac Gaming Zone features a 7-inch Full HD AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness rating of 800 nits, much higher than many other handheld consoles.
This gaming handheld is equipped with Hall effect triggers and analog sticks, offering a 2-stage adjustment option for the triggers.
Additionally, it includes dual quick adjust radial dials, allowing users to fine-tune the tension of the analog sticks. The inclusion of two trackpads further enhances the gaming experience by simplifying mouse movements.
Under the hood, the Zotac Gaming Zone is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U, a chip nearly identical to the Ryzen Z1 Extreme found in the ROG Ally X.
However, Zotac’s device comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X 7500MHz RAM. Other notable features include a standard 2280 SSD (comes with 512GB pre-installed), a 1MP front-facing camera, two USB4 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2.
The Zotac Gaming Zone is now available for pre-order on select e-tailer platforms and in various regions, with a launch price of USD799 (~RM3,491).
