Oppo Teases The Find N5: The Thinnest Foldable Phone Yet

The foldable flagship is rumoured to have a thickness in the range of 3.5 to 4 mm.

Oppo has officially kicked off its teaser campaign for the highly anticipated Find N5 foldable smartphone, confirming its launch in February. The Find N5 will succeed the Oppo Find N3, released in 2023, and aims to set new benchmarks in foldable design with its ultra-slim profile.

In a teaser image shared by Oppo’s Chief Product Officer Pete Lau on Weibo, the device’s standout feature—its thinness—was prominently hinted at. The Find N5 is expected to debut as the slimmest foldable flagship on the market.

Currently, the Honor Magic V3 holds the record as the thinnest foldable with a closed thickness of just 4.35mm. To surpass this, Oppo’s Find N5 will reportedly feature a profile in the 3.5–4mm range, according to leaks.

Zhou Yibao, Oppo Find series product manager, revealed that the Find N5 will utilise a titanium alloy hinge to enhance durability while maintaining its lightweight design. For global markets, the device might launch under the OnePlus Open 2 branding.

The Find N5 is rumoured to pack cutting-edge hardware, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a triple 50 MP rear camera setup, and a 5,700mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support.

The foldable is anticipated to feature a 6.4-inch cover screen alongside an 8-inch 2K main inner display, with both panels reportedly supporting a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
