Oppo is finally making it easier to play nice with the Apple ecosystem, announcing at MWC 2026 that the Find X9 series is about to get native file sharing with iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

It is all happening through an upgraded version of Google’s Quick Share system, which basically mimics the seamless AirDrop experience we have been wanting for years.
This is a massive step up from the old method where you had to mess around with the O+Connect app and make sure the receiving iPhone also had specific third-party software installed just to move a few photos.
The new system works locally, so you do not need to worry about extra apps or chewing through your data. Oppo mentioned they have been working closely with Google and MediaTek to get this sorted.
It is interesting to see how quickly this is moving, as Google only just debuted this cross-platform interoperability with the Pixel 10.
If you are rocking a Find X9 or the X9 Pro that launched at the tail end of 2025, you will be the first to see this update.
Besides that, Oppo also announced some new AI updates coming to ColorOS 16. If you are using a Find X9 or the X9 Pro, you can expect new on-device tools like AI Translate and AI Portrait Glow soon.

The real highlight, however, was Omni. This is Oppo’s new on-device full-modal AI model, and it sounds fairly ambitious. They are claiming it can handle live scene understanding and interactive Q&A right on the device itself.

Essentially, your phone should be able to see what is happening around you and answer questions about it in real-time, all while keeping the processing local and quick.
