U Mobile Just Revamped Its 5G Offerings With New ULTRA5G Prepaid & Postpaid Plans

Though most of these new plans don't offer unlimited data anymore, unlike their previous offerings.

U Mobile just dropped a new range of ULTRA5G mobile plans across the board, covering prepaid, postpaid, and business users.

On the prepaid side, things are looking pretty generous. You can jump in at RM28, RM38, or RM50, which nets you 50GB, 250GB, or a massive 500GB respectively. Navin Manian, their chief consumer business officer, pointed out that they have ditched the speed caps this time around. This means you can finally tap into those top-tier 5G speeds without being throttled.

They have also baked in something called ULTRA Security, which helps filter out those annoying phishing texts and dodgy websites right at the network level.

If you prefer a monthly bill, the postpaid options start at RM45 and go up to RM98, with a RM128 family plan in the mix as well. The entry-level plan gives you 500GB, while the more expensive ones go all the way up to 1,000GB.

A cool perk here is the ULTRA5G Priority Pass. It is designed to give you a bit of a network boost when you are stuck in a crowded spot like a concert or a busy shopping centre. Plus, you get 15GB of free roaming data every month, and there is an optional RM5 security add-on for identity theft protection that is free for the first three months.

For the business crowd, the new ULTRA Business Postpaid plans range from RM45 to RM138. These come with between 500GB and 2,000GB of data and a feature called ULTRA5G Reserve. Essentially, it prioritises enterprise traffic so your connection stays stable even when the network is under heavy load. Like the other plans, it has built-in security to catch malware and spyware before it even hits your device, so you do not have to worry about extra software.

If your work or business demands even more data usage, you can opt for the Prestige Postpaid plans that are priced at RM168 for 2,000GB or RM468 for 3,000GB.

Lastly, Woon Ooi Yuen, the chief technical officer, shared that their 5G network now reaches nearly 83% of populated areas in Malaysia.

If you are curious but not ready to commit, they are offering a free seven-day trial. You get 10GB of 5G data and free calls to try it out on any e-SIM compatible phone. If you want the full breakdown, you can find all the specifics over on the U Mobile website.
