U Mobile has rolled out ULTRA Home 5G Pro, bringing home broadband speeds of up to 2Gbps as it pushes its ULTRA5G network well past mobile devices.
Starting at RM98 a month, the plan is geared towards users who are into online gaming, heavy streaming, and a mountain of connected gadgets. You get a solid 2,000GB monthly quota, and because it runs entirely on 5G, there is no need to wait around for fibre installation. You just plug it in and off you go.
The service uses 8×8 MIMO 5G-Advanced technology, which lets the router pick up far more data streams simultaneously compared to older tech. U Mobile claims this setup delivers speed boosts ranging from 20% to 100% over standard 4×4 MIMO connections, making it up to twice as fast as typical 5G home setups. That extra capacity makes a noticeable difference when everyone in the house is online at the same time.

Gamers get a dedicated perk with the AI-Powered Game Turbo feature, which automatically spots and optimises gaming traffic as it happens. By prioritising game data separately from everyday browsing on the network, it keeps latency low and gameplay responsive across supported PC, console, and mobile titles.
Every subscription includes the ULTRA Performance WiFi 7 5G-A Router, making U Mobile the first telco in Malaysia to bundle a WiFi 7 router with a 5G-Advanced connection. It supports WiFi 7 Multi-Link Operation, letting compatible devices connect over multiple bands at once to help push reliable, high-speed coverage into every corner of the house.
The service is available right now across Peninsular Malaysia, with coverage for East Malaysia set to be announced down the line. If you are interested in trying it out, you can sign up on the U Mobile website or head into any of their stores nationwide.
