Agibot Opens First AI & Robotics Experience Centre In Malaysia

The China-based company offers a wide range of robotics for commercial and industrial purposes.

Agibot, the robotics firm, has chosen Malaysia to kickstart its 2026 Asia-Pacific plans, signalling a major push to bring its automation and embodied intelligence tech to the region.

The gathering also served to open Malaysia’s very first AI & Robotics Experience Centre in i-City, Selangor, a project developed alongside I-Bhd. The opening was officiated by Malaysia’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Chang Lih Kang.

This move follows what Agibot calls a transformative year in 2025, where the company focused heavily on improving mass production and real-world applications for its humanoid robots. That effort culminated in the rollout of its 5,000th mass-produced unit at the end of last year.

“This milestone, among others, puts us in a strong position as we start 2026,” noted Agibot’s founder, chairman and CEO, Deng Taihua. “Today’s launch in Malaysia is a clear example of our commitment to bring mass production and the practical use of embodied robotics to customers in this region.”

As part of a new strategic alliance, Agibot’s robotics and embodied AI solutions are already being deployed throughout i-City. The applications span property management, hospitality, tourism and various urban services. The partnership also looks beyond pure productivity, aiming to apply AI and robotics toward human wellness and longevity, with an eye on improving overall health and quality of life. This ‘AI World’ project is just the first phase of a longer-term collaboration between Agibot and I-Bhd.

The company provides a diverse range of robotics solutions designed for real-world use. Their product lineup features different robot types for specific applications, from guided presentations to industrial automation. It includes full-sized humanoids for interactive showcases, compact humanoids for entertainment and education, robust industrial robots for factory tasks, agile quadruped robots for inspections in tough terrain, and autonomous floor-cleaning robots for large commercial spaces.

Looking ahead, Agibot plans to use this Malaysian launchpad to advance a broader regional expansion across Asia-Pacific throughout 2026.
