Apple Is Reportedly Launching A New iPhone SE, iPhone 17 Air, And iPads This Year

Besides that, Apple is also releasing new MacBook Air models and a smart home hub device.

Apple is gearing up for numerous product launches in 2025, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a trusted source for insights into the tech giant’s plans.

New MacBook Air Models to Lead the Way

Apple will reportedly start the year with updated 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models, codenamed J713 and J715. Both devices are already in production and will feature the next-generation Apple M4 chip, delivering improved performance and efficiency.

Affordable iPhone SE Launching in Spring

The highly anticipated iPhone SE is expected to debut in Spring 2025, featuring Apple Intelligence capabilities. The device will sport a design similar to the iPhone 14, an A18 chipset, and Apple’s proprietary modem chips, aiming to offer a balance of performance and affordability.

Upgraded iPads on the Horizon

Apple plans to release two new entry-level iPads, codenamed J481 and J482, equipped with the powerful A17 Pro chip and 8GB of RAM, matching the specifications of the latest iPad mini. These enhancements will enable the devices to support Apple Intelligence features seamlessly.

The iPad Air lineup will also see an update, with four models (J607, J608, J637, and J638) reportedly featuring the M4 chip. The new models are expected to retain the sleek design of last year’s 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Airs while delivering improved performance.

Smart Home Hub Debut

Apple is also venturing further into smart home technology with a new device featuring a 7-inch touchscreen. This smart home hub is designed to help users manage household tasks, run apps, and make video calls. It can function in countertop mode or be mounted on a wall. The device is slated for a March release, although widespread availability may take longer.

iPhone 17 Series Set for Fall Launch

Apple’s flagship iPhone lineup will be refreshed in the fall with the iPhone 17 series, including the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and a new model called the iPhone 17 Air.

The 17 Air is rumoured to be Apple’s thinnest phone yet, measuring just 5.5mm at its thinnest point, over 2mm slimmer than the iPhone 16 models. It will feature a base-level A19 chip and a single rear camera.
