Oppo recently unveiled the new Quick Capture button for its forthcoming Find X8 flagship smartphone, functioning similarly to the iPhone 16’s Camera Control.
Accompanying the announcement was a video demonstration of the button, presented by Zhou Yibao, the product manager for the company’s Find series, which was posted on Weibo.
The video demonstrated the Find X8’s ability to take photos underwater effortlessly using the new Quick Capture button. It also showcased the device’s water resistance, previously claimed by the company to be rated at IP68/69.
Zhou highlighted that the button is designed for ease of use, simplicity, and aesthetics. The demonstration showed that users could double-click to activate the camera instantly, press to take a photo, and slide to zoom in.

Additionally, it was revealed that using the Quick Capture button doesn’t shake the phone, thus enabling users to take sharp photos instantly without blur concerns.
The Find X8 is expected to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip with a 6.5-inch OLED display made by BOE.
The rear camera setup will feature three 50MP cameras: a main, an ultrawide, and a periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The telephoto camera employs the Sony LYT-600 sensor.
A 5,700 mAh battery powers the device, which supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W magnetic wireless fast charging.
