Oppo Find X9 Ultra Launches In Malaysia: 200MP Hasselblad Camera & Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5; Price Starts From RM6,799

It comes in two colours, Tundra Umber and Canyon Orange, and in two configurations: 12GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB.

Oppo has finally launched its top-tier Find X9 Ultra globally, and it has landed right here in Malaysia too.

This thing is a bit of a beast, sporting a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display that hits 3,600 nits of peak brightness. Whether you are scrolling at 144Hz or watching a film in Dolby Vision, the screen will look incredible, and it is built to last with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

The phone is powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and a massive 1TB of storage, so it should handle just about anything you throw at it. On the software side, it is running ColorOS 16, which is based on the latest Android 16.

The real star of the show, however, is that Hasselblad quad-camera setup on the back, led by a massive 200MP Sony LYT-901 sensor. It has a large 1/1.12-inch sensor and a wide f/1.5 aperture, meaning it should be brilliant in low light. Joining it is another 200MP sensor from OmniVision for 3x zoom, plus a 50MP Samsung telephoto lens for 10x optical zoom.

This 10x lens uses a clever quintuple prism design to deliver what Oppo calls 20x optical-quality zoom. Rounding out the back is a 50MP ultrawide and a dedicated 3.2MP true colour camera for accurate tones.

For those who love a selfie, there is a 50MP Samsung camera on the front with autofocus. Oppo has also doubled down on its partnership with Hasselblad, introducing a new Master Mode. Interestingly, they have opted for an imaging pipeline that avoids generative AI, focusing instead on natural results. Pro users can take advantage of 50MP RAW MAX files with 16-bit colour depth, and fans of the classic panoramic look can still play around with the Hasselblad XPAN mode.

Video performance looks just as impressive on paper. You can record in 8K at 30fps or push 4K up to 120fps for some smooth slow-motion shots. There are plenty of tools for creators too, including the O-Log2 solution and real-time LUT previews, which let you see your colour grade while you are still filming. With better stabilisation and autofocus across the board, it is clearly aiming to be a proper mobile workstation for videographers.

To keep all that tech running, Oppo has packed in a 7,050mAh silicon-carbon battery. It supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, so you will never be stuck near a plug for long. It is also built to survive the elements with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, and it features a fast 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the glass.

In Malaysia, the phone is available for pre-order until 7 May 2026 in two colours: Tundra Umber and Canyon Orange. The 12GB+512GB model starts at RM6,799, while the 16GB+1TB version retails for RM7,799.
