Oppo Malaysia has introduced two budget-friendly smartphones, the A5 Pro and A5 Pro 5G, both boasting an IP69 dust and water resistance rating, along with MIL-STD 810H certification for added durability.
These features, combined with cushioning and shatter-resistant glass, make them more resilient to damage compared to typical smartphones.
Both models feature a 6.7-inch HD+ display, with the A5 Pro offering a 90Hz refresh rate and the Pro 5G stepping up to 120Hz. They come equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The A5 Pro 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, enabling 5G connectivity, while the standard A5 Pro uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chipset without 5G support.
Colour options include Mocha Brown and Olive Green for the A5 Pro, and Mocha Brown and Bloom Pink for the Pro 5G.
Both phones are equipped with a big 5,800mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging via USB-C.
For photography, they share a dual-camera setup on the back, featuring a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP monochrome lens, along with an 8MP front-facing camera housed in a punch-hole cutout.
Connectivity-wise, both models support WiFi 5 and NFC. The Pro 5G supports Bluetooth 5.3, while the base model is limited to Bluetooth 5.0. They run on ColorOS 15 out of the box.
Pricing and Availability
The Oppo A5 Pro is priced at RM899, while the A5 Pro 5G retails for RM1,099. Both phones are now available at Oppo Brand Stores, My Oppo Space, authorised dealers, Oppo official stores on Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop and Oppo Estore.
