Samsung just dropped the Galaxy S26 series, but they didn’t stop there. We have also had our first look at the next generation of Galaxy Buds, specifically the Buds4 and the Buds4 Pro.
Samsung has gone for a complete redesign this time around, ditching the LED light strips from the previous generation in favour of a cleaner, more premium look. The sides are now flat and crafted from brushed metal, with a handy engraved touch area so you can find the pinch and swipe controls without faffing about.

If you go for the Pro model, you are getting a much-improved two-way speaker system. The woofers and tweeters are roughly 20% larger than the ones found on the Buds3 Pro, which should mean a much fuller sound. They also support 24-bit Hi-Fi audio for those who are particularly fussy about their audio quality. The standard Buds4 keep things a bit simpler with a single 11mm driver, but they should still hold their own for everyday listening.
The standard Galaxy Buds4 actually use an open design, which is usually a win for comfort if you are wearing them for hours on end, even if it means the noise cancelling isn’t quite as isolating. Both versions come with a clever new adaptive ANC feature, though. It is smart enough to block out the annoying drone of an engine whilst still letting you hear important things like sirens. Plus, call quality should be top-notch thanks to some clever tech that keeps your voice clear even in noisy environments.

Battery life is decent enough across the board. The base model gives you about five hours of playback with ANC on, whilst the Pro stretches that to six. Once you factor in the charging case, you are looking at up to 30 hours total depending on your settings. While they will play nicely with any smartphone, Galaxy device users definitely get the smoothest experience. You get a sleek control panel on your phone for things like volume and ambient sound toggles without even needing to open a separate app.
There are some fun hands-free bits included too, like nodding your head to answer a call or giving it a shake to ignore one. You can also chat to Bixby to control your smart home or use the real-time interpreter feature if you are travelling abroad.
Pricing and Availability
Colour-wise, both come in black or white, but there is a rather nice pink gold version exclusive to the Pro online. They are available for pre-order now and they will set you back RM699 for the Buds4 or RM999 if you want the Buds4 Pro.
