Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Powered Exclusively By Snapdragon 8 Gen 4?

No more reserving the Snapdragon chipset only for the Galaxy Ultra.

It was anticipated that Samsung would incorporate both Exynos and Snapdragon chips in the Galaxy S25 series just like the Galaxy S24 series. However, a recent report suggests that Samsung will not do that.

A South Korean news outlet, Hankyung, reports that the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra will globally feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 For Galaxy processor.

The last time Samsung exclusively used Snapdragon for the Galaxy S lineup was with the S23 series.

Despite expectations for the recently announced Exynos 2500 chip to power the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, the company has apparently opted for a different approach.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is reported to deliver substantial improvements in artificial intelligence (AI) and GPU performance, exceeding 30%.

Samsung’s decision to exclusively use Snapdragon chips in the S25 series may stem from anticipated intense competition in the AI smartphone market, particularly from Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 16 series and other major players like Xiaomi, Oppo, Huawei, among others.

Besides that, the report indicates that the Exynos 2500 chipset is anticipated to be featured in the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 models.
