After months of guessing and leaked renders, Samsung has finally announced the date for their next Galaxy Unpacked event.
It is all kicking off in San Francisco this time, with the livestream set for Thursday, 26 February. If you are tuning in from Malaysia, you will need to set an alarm for 2 a.m. We should expect see the three new Galaxy S26 phones and the latest Buds 4 series. You can catch the whole thing on Samsung’s official website or their YouTube channel.

Rumour has it that the hardware is going to be a bit of a split decision. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ are likely to be powered by the Exynos 2600 chip globally (except in the US), whilst the S26 Ultra should be rocking the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. The standard models are expected to ship with 12GB of RAM, but if you have got deep pockets and go for the 1TB Ultra, you will get a massive 16GB. It is also good to see the base S26 finally starting with a more sensible 256GB of storage space.

When it comes to staying powered up, only the standard S26 is getting a bit of extra power with a 300mAh boost to its battery capacity. The other two are staying as they were, though the Ultra will at least support 60W wired charging to get you back to full a bit faster. Disappointingly, it looks like Samsung is skipping the built-in magnets for Qi2 wireless charging across the entire range.

The camera specs look pretty solid, even if they feel a bit familiar. All three phones share the same 12MP selfie snapper, and the S26 and S26+ stick with a reliable 50MP main sensor and a 10MP zoom. The Ultra is where the real magic happens, featuring a 200MP main camera and a new 50MP periscope lens for those long-distance shots. It also gets a much-improved 50MP ultrawide with autofocus.
