Volvo Car Malaysia has officially launched the Volvo EX30, its most compact and fastest electric vehicle to date.
The Volvo EX30 is available in Malaysia in three variants and five colors: Cloud Blue, Moss Yellow, Crystal White, Vapour Grey, and Onyx Black.
Each model features an Indigo interior with Textile & Nordico upholstery, Denim decor panels, and blue air vent panels.
The Volvo EX30 includes a 5-year vehicle warranty, an 8-year battery warranty, a 5-year inclusive service package with roadside assistance, and 5-year complimentary Google and data connectivity.
Built on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform dedicated to EVs, the EX30 measures 1,550mm in height, 1,838mm in width, and 4,233mm in length.
In Malaysia, there are three variants of the Volvo EX30. All are equipped with a 69kWh NMC battery that provides up to 476km of range and standard 19-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels.
The Plus and Ultra variants feature a single motor that drives the rear wheels, delivering 200kW (268hp) and 343Nm of torque. They can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 180km/h.
The top-tier Ultra Twin Performance variant offers a combined output of 315kW (422hp) and 543Nm of torque.
This AWD model accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 180km/h. The addition of the front motor reduces the range to approximately 450km.
The Volvo EX30 supports DC fast charging up to 175kW, enabling a charge from 10-80% in under 30 minutes.
For AC charging, all Malaysian variants come with an 11kW onboard charger. The official Malaysian spec sheet states that AC charging from 0-100% takes 8 hours.
